The Bronco Volleyball Booster Club reminds the public to donate their aluminum cans to support Bronco Volleyball. The aluminum can drop-off trailer is located in the Dairy Queen parking lot.

The KOOTASCA Office will be closed Monday for Labor Day. Anyone with an emergency should call First Call For Help at 1-800-442-8565. Regular business hours are from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Car wash
The Bronco boys baseball team will conduct a car wash from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Waschke Family GM Center, Highway 53.

Rural addressing signs
The contractor began placing new rural addressing signs for all residents in the rural areas and some cities last week. He is placing small flags so the utility companies can determine if their lines will be impacted. The Koochiching County Sheriff’s Office requests cooperation from the public in not removing these signs.

Women of the Moose
The Women of the Moose will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the downstairs clubrooms.

Horse show
Rainy River Riders Saddle Club will conduct a WSCA horse show beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday at the arena on Highway 332. The public is welcome to attend. For information, contact Shana at 763-567-9169.

Back to School dance
The Bronco boys baseball team will host a Back to School Dance from 8 p.m. to midnight Thursday at the Bob Walls Memorial Union Hall. Students in grades 9 through 12 are welcome. Admission is $5. Pizza and pop will be available.

Red Hat Loonaticks
The Red Hat Loonaticks will gather at 11:30 a.m. Monday to enjoy sundaes at the Dairy Queen.

Meet the Teachers
Students attending Falls Elementary School and West End Elementary School can meet their teachers next week during Meet the Teachers night. Kindergarteners can meet their teachers from 5 to 6 p.m. Monday and first through sixth graders can meet their teachers from 5 to 6 Thursday.

Bronco baseball
Bronco boys baseball team will have a booth downtown during the International Falls Bass Championship. Tacos-in-a-bag and a beverage will be available. The public is encouraged to stop by Smokey Bear Park today through Saturday.

Community Market
Backus Community Market continues Saturday in conjunction with the Backus Arts and Crafts Festival in the City Square at the International Falls Bass Championship. Market vendors, crafters and artisans will feature produce, baked goods, handmade and specialty products. The market resumes in the AB Third Street parking lot Aug. 30.

Moose supper
A ribeyes-on-the-grill supper will be served at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Moose Lodge. Reservations are needed and may be made by calling 283-3615.

The Annual Ray Community Potluck Picnic is planned for 4:30 p.m. Sunday, rain or shine. Refreshments and meat will be furnished. Bring utensils.
