Aitken reception
The Borderland community is welcome to attend a “Farewell and Thank You” reception in honor of Beckie and Pastor Tom Aitken. The reception, hosted by Citizens for Backus/AB, is set for 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Backus Community Center, Room 111. Everyone is welcome.

Open horse show
Littlefork Saddle Club will host an Open Horse Show Saturday at the Northern Minnesota District Fair on Saturday. The show will begin at 10 a.m. with Halter and Pleasure classes, gaming events will follow. Concessions are available The public is welcome to attend.

Elks meal
The Elks Lodge Wednesday Meal will be ribeye steak, serving at 6:30 p.m. at the lodge. Call early for reservations at 283-3440.
