Mr. and Mrs. Joseph White, Island View Route, have just returned from a 3,500 mile trip which took them to Moorhead to attend the wedding of their niece, Miss Diane Morin.
Police Sgt. Joseph Patineau has been moved into the captain’s vacancy created by the retirement of Ted Blinsmon until a Civil Service examination is held.
Happy news for candy lovers — Fanny Farmer has selected Walgreen Drug to distribute her world-famous candies in your town.
Mrs. Petra LaPlante is moving away to a warmer climate. Her many friends plan to have a farewell party for her at the Senior Citizens Center Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock.

Gayle Grotte, who is a sophomore at Bemidji State College, spent the weekend with her mother, Mrs. Esther Grotte, 721 Fifth St. Gayle is majoring in elementary education.
Winners in the Border City’s hula hoop contest included Patty Rae Coran, Kathy Blanchard and Donnie St. Pierre.
The home of Mrs. Vincent O’Leary, South International Falls, was the scene of a pink and blue shower. The shower complimented Mrs. Kenneth Morff.

A daughter was born at Falls Memorial Hospital this morning to Mr. and Mrs. Orlie Morlan of Ranier.

Gail Marie Jameson, 6, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Jameson, Vets Housing, broke her right leg Sunday when she fell while playing.
