Leo H. Dominick, 91, of Fergus Falls, former superintendent of schools at International Falls, died today at Fergus Falls.
Pvt. Clinton T. Gooselin, a 1982 graduate of Falls High School, has completed one station unit training at the U.S. Army Infantry School, Fort Benning, Ga.

40 YEARS AGO
Homecoming queen and king candidates from the sophomore class are Shelley Gorder, Janet Ginter, Peggy LaFond, Bonnie Biondich, Priscilla Austin, Shelley Crandall, Robin Foss, Jeff Lindvall, Jerry Doris, Mike Holland, Tom Howard and Richard Thompson.
Alec W. Parkin for the past 11 years manager of the city’s municipal liquor operations, will leave Monday for New Hope to assume his duties as manager of the municipal liquor store there.
Guests of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Nyberg for two weeks has been John Wirt of Arlington, Va., brother of Mrs. Nyberg.
Airman Michael A. Wolf has completed basic training at Lackland AFB, Texas.

Ace right halfback Joe Crotty of St. John’s University’s unbeaten football squad suffered a broken ankle last Saturday that will sideline him for the remainder of the season.
The home of Mrs. Hial Pike, 1013 Seventh St., was the scene of a pink and blue shower honoring Mrs. David Skeim.
A daughter was born today to Mr. and Mrs. James Morin, Loman Route, 7 pounds, 13 ounces.
Airman apprentice Van H. Day, U.S. Navy, arrived home Saturday morning following nine weeks of basic training at the U.S. Naval Training Station, San Diego, Calif.

60 YEARS AGO
Dr. M.E. Withrow, pioneer Falls physician, was reported critically ill this afternoon at his home, 901 Riverside Drive. Absent members of the family have been summoned to his bedside.
Francis Eugene, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Ittner, 1208 Seventh St., was baptized at 10 a.m. Sunday at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church. Sponsors were his two older brothers, Leigh and Eddie, and Mrs. K.J. Micknal.
Two brothers from International Falls, Clarence and Lewis Grover, enlisted in the Army in September. Both picked service in Alaska.
Pfc. Alec Parkin is home on a 15-day delay enroute from Chanute Field, Ill., to Roswell, N.M.
