Milo S. Larson has retired from Boise Cascade Corporation after 39 years’ service. Larson was a boiler field operator in the Power and Recovery area when he retired.
After nearly 50 years’ service, Marian A. Bush has retired from Boise Cascade Corporation. She was an executive assistant in the engineering department when she retired.

Lyle Vigoren, 62, has retired from the Boise Cascade Paper Division’s kraft mill.

Dick Anderson with but two misses was high man in Friday’s trapshooting at Sportsmen’s Range. A newcomer to the weekly shoot, Jerry Franzen, broke 16 of 25 targets in his initial try.
Denise and Todd Meyers of Pasco, Wash., have been summer guests at the homes of the Wayne Meyers, the John Budrises and the Joe Budrises.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation, born almost out of desperation and mired in its early years in political problems, will be 60 years old tomorrow.
Little Lori Ann Hanson, daughter of the Gerald Hansons, is a patient at the Falls hospital.

Mrs. Mary J. Lyon, 507 11th Ave., celebrated her 84th birthday Monday at her home.
The home of Miss Alice Meyers, 806 Seventh St., was the scene of a bridal shower Saturday afternoon honoring Miss Marlys Trach. Hostesses were Miss Kathleen Arney, Miss Meyers and Miss Carol Scoggins.
Kathleen Carlson, five-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Carlson, Rogers Route, was feted at a birthday party recently. There were 17 children present.
The marriage of Miss Sally Joyce Sellman and Richard C. Schaak was solemnized at St. Thomas Catholic Church.
60 YEARS AGO
Darald Weise and Robert Rompre left this morning on a trip to the West Coast. They expect to vacation for two weeks in Oregon.
Olaf Peterson has the distinction of being the last patient discharged from Northern Minnesota Hospital. He is bid good-bye by his physician, Dr. C.C. Craig, and nurse, Mrs. Paul Kinports. The brief formalities Saturday closed the hospital after nearly 40 years of caring for the community’s health need. Mrs. Kinports was working when the hospital opened.
Mrs. Ed Bachinski, Point O’Pines, entertained Saturday afternoon at a birthday party for her daughters, Sandra, 5, and Susan, 7, whose birthdays are a day apart.
Two border youths left last night for San Antonio, Texas, as three-year enlistees in the Air Force. They are James Lyman, 714 10th St., International Falls, and Pete LaFrance, 310 Mosher Ave., Fort Frances.
