Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Long of the Falls announce the engagement of their daughter, Cynthia Mae, to Rodney Lawrence Milender, son of Mrs. Katherine Milender of Minneapolis.
Chet Hanson accepted the Pushkin Hole-in-One trophy from John Sontorovich as the most recent member of the Falls Country Club to score an ace.
Gary Goulet, son of Mr. and Mrs. Max Goulet, 418 Seventh St., is employed by IBM in Rochester, in the optical character recognition field.
Majorettes Louise Earnest, Shelly Ramsey, Janine Klow and Janet Ginter will be attending the International Twirling Camp at Bottineau, N.D., next week.

Specialist Earl R. Adams was recently promoted to the rank of second class. He is stationed with the armed services in Germany and is a senior doppler repair technician in the corporal guided missile.
Pvt. Lee F. Tessier, 20, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Tessier, 801 Sixth St., recently completed the eight-week finance procedures course at the Army Finance School, Fort Benjamin Harrison, Ind.
Mrs. LaVern Batdorf arranged a party in observance of the 1st birthday of her daughter, Dana Jo. Present were the four children of Mr. and Mrs. Max Foster, the son of the Harold Langdons, the four daughters of the Robert Tessiers, three children of the Harry Batdorfs and two children of the Henry Tessier family.
A son was born today at Falls Memorial Hospital to Mr. and Mrs. William Shaw, South International Falls; 8 pounds, 5 ounces.

Mr. and Mrs. Waldemar Skoglund, Ericsburg, are parents of a son born today in Falls Memorial Hospital. They have named the child Lanny Allan and he weighed 7 pounds, 1 1/2-ounce.
Gust Belcher, a Mando veteran of 30 years, retired July 1. He is unquestionably one of the community’s most ardent baseball fans, a veteran of the Spanish-American war and has been very active in veteran’s affairs.
Miss Marvel Berryman’s engagement to William Blais, son of Mr. and Mrs. Julian Blais, Jameson Addition, is announced by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Berryman, Keyes Arcade.
Mrs. William T. Shroyer and baby daughter, Stephanie June, were honored Friday afternoon by women of the First Baptist Church, neighbors and friends.
