A daughter was born today at Falls Memorial Hospital to Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Moxley, 8 pounds, 15 ounces.
Elizabeth Ann, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Bergstrom, 503 Fourth Ave., was baptized Sunday in St. Thomas Catholic Church. Mr. and Mrs. Andre Gouin, Newport, Rainy Lake, the baby’s uncle and aunt, were sponsors.
Robert Miggins Jr., 811 Sixth St., is recuperating at his home from an injury sustained in Big Falls while playing ball.
Rev. John Malm, new pastor of First Lutheran Church, and his wife were honored at a reception Saturday evening in the church parlors by members and friends of the congregation.

General John J. “Blackjack” Pershing, who led American troops to victory in World War I, died early today at the age of 87.
Twelve friends helped Virginia Jackson celebrate her 12th birthday at a party Saturday in the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Jackson, 1241 11th St.
Mr. and Mrs. Roger Haining and children, 918 Eighth St., were planning to leave today for Brainerd. Haining recently resigned his position as manager of the Border Theater and intends to return to school. Haining’s successor is M.F. Justad.
Mrs. Woodrow Ewald was honored at a stork shower in the home of Mrs. James Ewald.
