The home of Mrs. Alvin B. Glennie, Sunset Cove, was the setting for an Aug. 6 afternoon bridal shower in honor of Robyn Christensen.
After 12 years as pastor at Zion Lutheran Church, Harold Schumacher will be trading his church office for a business office and a new career in investment counseling in the Falls.

Sp/5 Bill Holen is now stationed at Fort Snelling AFB, where he is assigned to the 50th Artillery Group.
Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Lundquist, Susan and James have returned home from a trip through the Badlands and Black Hills of South Dakota.
A bridal shower honoring Miss Cynthia Long was held Thursday evening at the home of Mrs. Dean Jensen on Van Lynn Road.
Due to apparent lack of interest, it was decided at a meeting of the Koochiching County Old Settlers Association that no settlers picnic will be held this year.

Judy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Kukuk, 1106 Eighth St., celebrated her fourth birthday this afternoon.
Philip D. Johnson, son of Rev. and Mrs. Lloyd Johnson, 313 Eighth St., made the honor roll for the spring semester, 1957-58 at North Park College, Chicago, Ill.
Mrs. Leo Dougherty, 720 Seventh St., and sister, Mrs. Paul Reuter Sr., 701 Seventh St., returned last week from a two-week visit in Gaines, Pa., with their father, William Haner.
Lyle Windsnes, one of the five boys who left Sunday for a week at Camp Wishinigan south of Hibbing, returned to Littlefork Monday with a broken right arm, suffered when he fell while playing.

Mark Nelson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Nelson, 1005 Second St., celebrated his sixth birthday yesterday by entertaining 12 boys at a wiener roast.
Carol Rae Deneen, 11-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M.B. Deneen, 908 Ninth St., was at Girl Scout camp in Chisholm on her birthday. She will return home tonight and the family will have a delayed celebration.
Chrystee Lea Wilson’s first birthday was celebrated recently at a party at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wilson, 719 Eighth St.
