    Democrats from across the country converged in Denver this week for the Democratic National Convention.
  • Student Receives Scholarship
    Christine Lucachick was awarded a $1,000 scholarship for the 2008-09 year by the Hibbing Lodge of Perfection of the Iron Range Scottish Rite. She is the daughter of Drs. Gary and Coleen Lucachick. She plans to attend the college of St. Benedict and major in biology. She was active in swimming, figure skating, hockey cheer leading, softball, National Honor Society and Student Council at Falls High School, where she carried a 4.0 grade point average. Above, Lucachick receives her scholarship from Nick Kantos, a member of the Iron Range Lodge of Perfection.
  • Stadum is champ
    Above, Tom O’Connell presents Punky Stadum with her trophy after she won the Ladies Club Championship at Falls Country Club Wednesday. Stadum was the overall champion with a gross score of 84. Other flight winners are: First flight — Tied for first place: Martha Karsnia, score of 69, and Diane Wright, 69; third place: Barb Nass, 73.   • Alumni versus Broncos
