Richard D. Hanson, 77

Richard D. Hanson, 77, was born in Mentor, Minn., on Sept. 5, 1930, to Louis and Julia Hanson and died July 3, 2008.
He worked for Boise Cascade in International Falls, Minn., and retired at age 55.
He was living at Meadow Park Nursing Facility in St. Helens, Ore. He died at Legacy Good Samaritan Hospital on July 3.
He is survived by his daughter, Debbie (Rich) Mortensen of Scappoose, Ore. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Troy (Teresa) Thompson, Janet Nollette and Michael Thompson, all of Scappoose, Ore.; and his great-grandchildren, Aaron Thompson, Kayla Nollette, Lauren Nollette, Emily Nollette, Torgney Nollette and Job Nollette, all of Scappoose.
Richard is also survived by his three sisters: Valora (Len) Blanchen of Lebanon, Ore., Marlys (James) Etherington of Sweet Home, Ore., and June (Earnest) Nelson of Sweet Home, Ore.
He was preceded in death by his son, Roger Hanson and former wife, Alice Wolfe.
His current wife, Jean (Eide) Hanson is currently living at Avamere Memory Unit in St. Helens, Ore.
A memorial was held at Columbia Funeral Home in St. Helens, Ore., and Richard Hanson was flown to Mentor, Minn., for burial.
