Correction

A story published in Thursday’s edition about a NEXUS Center should have said the program is being handled on the U.S. side of the border by Customs and Border Protection. In addition, the NEXUS program will not replace the I-68 boater program. Instead, a NEXUS card can be used in place of the I-68 which will continue to be offered. Also, a NEXUS lane will be designed at the border crossing.

Interesting choice of a...
Back to page topInteresting choice of a name. Those of us with a literary bent associate Nexus with the writer Henry Miller who also wrote novels called Plexus and Sexus as parts of his Rosy Crucifixion trilogy. Not to be confused with the Lord of the rings trilogy. One can imagine then, that the fast track over the Ranier Lift Bridge will have to be called Sexus. And it will be on the American side. Plexus, on the other hand, is still on the drawing board.
