Littlefork to review storm damage

The Littlefork City Council is scheduled to hear an update on the city’s recent storm damage when it meets Thursday.
The council meeting is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. at City Hall.
Winds recently whipped through Littlefork at a reported speed of 75 miles per hour.
The council is also expected to hear from budget committees, discuss election judge compensation and Fairwood Avenue reconstruction.
The Fire Department is scheduled to attend with a presentation of its 2009 budget.
Dialogue is also expected to continue on the sewer main, the Aspen Street water main replacement, Littlefork Medical Center air conditioning and 911 addressing. On the agenda also is discussion of the Koochiching Community Development Association.
The proposed ambulance facility is also slotted for discussion. The Littlefork Ambulance Service Taxing District has scheduled its annual board meeting for July 29 at the Littlefork Community Building, to adopt the proposed 2009 budget and the 2008 collectible in 2009 tax levy.
