Littlefork parade and celebration Saturday

Littlefork Lutheran Church will celebrate 100 years on Saturday with an 80-unit parade down Littlefork’s Main Street.
The parade begins at 5 p.m. with 100-year-old church member, Sadie Running, as Grand Marshall.
The Lutheran centennial event begins earlier in the day, at 10 a.m., with a tour of the church and historical records. Complimentary rolls and coffee will be served.
A worship service to open the festivities is scheduled for 1 p.m. with a dedication of the church bell to follow. An afternoon of fellowship will precede the parade.
Following the parade, a free sloppy Joe supper will be held at the church’s Fellowship Hall. Local square dancers are scheduled to entertain.
The band “Sloughgrass” is set to perform from 7 to 9 p.m. under a tent in the church parking lot .
The celebration will be closed during the worship service Sunday morning, followed by a brunch and more fellowship.
