Puppy progress: Chloe’s growing

“Chloe Marie: Little Bit o’ Tirzah” visited The Journal Thursday and looks to be progressing adorably.
“She’s taking pablum (a softly runny cereal) now,” said Jan Bohman, who has been moved by the community’s compassion. “Everyone wants to know how she’s doing, and wants to see her.”
The bitty Yorkie often sleeps on her chest, Bohman added as she tenderly kisses the top of the dog’s tiny head.
Jan and Doug Bohman are surrogate mothers to Chloe, following the death of their beloved pet “Tirzah” after giving birth to two puppies. The first pup was stillborn and the other is Chloe, whose birth weight was two ounces.
The sleepy puppy now snuggles into a swaddle of baby blankets in girly shades of pink nestled in a dolly crib, in which Jan carries her around town.
Little Chloe now has a chubby belly and rolls on her back in complete trust.
“She is learning to play, too,” said Jan.
