Luv Northern MN

No votes yet

I got back home yesterday (SW Michigan) from a week on Lake Kabetogoma...I have to say I'm ready to move north. But the problem is I've never liked winter. We get a "decent" winter here in MI and I fight it every year. This year I'm determined to embrace winter so that if the opportunity arises I can move to N. MN without worrying about winter.

I've always been fascinated by people that love winter, so maybe I'll try to be one!

The whole area (Kab, the Falls, the lakes and parks) is absolutely gorgeous. There are a lot fewer people in that area than where I live and that is a huge draw for me. The people are so friendly and laid back.

Kudos to all the residents, you have given your area a good name and I would recommend it to anyone.

If you've never read "The Cat Who..." mysteries by Lillian Jackson Braun you might want to pick one up. I'm nearly fully convinced that she based it on that area, just because of the physical description of the area and the people.

BIG shout out to Deerhorn Resort and staff on Lake Kab. Awesome place to stay...
