Obama, who is trying to following in Abe Lincoln's footsteps just corrected his own error in his honesty. Thanks for finally paying your 15 parking tickets...even if they were 17 years late. As a law student he knew very well he was wrong to not pay. He was also aware he was parking in a bus stop,parking with no resident permit and not paying the meter.

That's Mr. Ossama Bin Bama to you!! Middle name "Hussein", get my drift. He's got as much chance of being President as Former Governor "Goofy" Ventura!! The Dem's will dig up enough dirt on Obama, that the Repub's can sit back and watch!! And once they find out about all the people Bill and Hillary had knocked off, she is toast!! If the Dem's can stop self destructing and get someone like Joe Biden nominated, I will vote for him. But he must have a bunch of junk in his closet or they would be behind him. So I will settle for a ticket of Mitt Romney/Jeb Bush!!!! Guliani is in the lead, but all he did was run the windshield washers off the street corners of NYC. But the real dark horse is the former Gov of Arkansas, Huckabee. I think he will win.

Back to page topThere's the politics we see on Fox and CNN and then the politics of backrooms in Washington, D.C. I just this last hour had an office visit from a firend who works in the office of one of GWB's Cabinet officers and he said this: 100% of Bush-Cheney 2004 people are backing McCain; Guliani is the candidate of the Republican National Committee, while Jeb Bush's people are reviled by both. Huckabee and Romney are considered "non starters" and there likely will be no real money to get them known nationally. So take your pick. I don't have a Washington insider on the Dem side, but Barack Obama has a Q-Score [likability, essentially] up there with the best of them [Oprah, Tom Hanks]. There will have to be some real dirt to slow him down completely. My money says that he will be second on someone's ticket and that someone is still married to Bill Clinton. Of course, we're talking about a one term presidency before Arnold becomes the first foreign-born president. Joe Biden? .. .it's good to see a white guy cleaned up and with nice manners and all but he doesn't have a chance in heaven or hell. Sorry.
McCain/Guliani...except...
Back to page topMcCain/Guliani...except Guliani will not run as #2 especially not to McCain. Guliani/McCain would be perfect if they can come to an agreement. I spent 12 years in town...you have not heard the last of the story on Clinton/Clinton/Janet Reno. AND the day it is obvious that she will not be able to be elected or even be asked as a #2 person I'll bet the big paper is filed in court. Boy what cold winters that will make even if there a little cold now.

The only thing he has going for him is his war record, other than that he will not connect with the millions of hard core conservative republicans. "Conservative republicans" are different than "republicans". They are the issue voters (gay marraige, abortion, death penalty)--neither McCain or Guiliani are able to connect with these issue voters....as of now i am unimpressed with republican candidates.....My money's on either Mit Romney or Possibly Duncan Hunter----IF the republican primary does not produce a real conservative they will lose an entire group-evangelicals...a group that has been the base of republican campaigns throughout recent history.

Nice to hear from ya again! I thought I could stir some people awake, with my bloviating!! Of course the 2004 people are backing McCain, they owe him alot. The RNC will push Guliani to the limits, and the only way he will lose, is if the real dirt is brought out about him, or he self-destructs. Hilary will say or do anything to get the job (even talk with a fake southern accent). But the American public is not so stupid (I think) to fall prey to the Obama, "I'm black so you have to elect me". Of course you know she or any other Dem will "use" Obama's skin color on a 2nd banana ticket if they know it will benefit them. I hope you are right about one term if she is elected. When are they going to change the law so a foreign-born can be elected. Arnold say's he is behind it, but only if it means he is not the one. He wants to pass it, but not so it will benefit him. I wish he could, because he has my vote. He is as close to the "center" as anyone. And Biden doesn't have a chance, because a Senator can't get elected. But look for a dark horse (not Obama) to get elected. Remember Slick Willy in 1992??
