Voting for Obama is like asking a child to do brain surgery.
The main job of our leader to do is keep the USA and all her people safe. A vote for Obama is a step closer to loosing your way of life. Are you really that bad off to vote for this guy?

Back to page topI will not vote today because i cannot stand behind either candidate. There is no reason to write anyone in because they don't even count that and voting for a third party is basically a wasted vote as well. The Media has ruined the election process over the last 50 years. That and the fact that 538 people of the electoral college are the ones who votes count and they do not have to follow the popular vote in most cases they do but not always. 1876,1888, and 2000 are the three cases when they did what they wanted to do and why should this year be any different.

I would encourage you to vote, but do understand your reasoning.
By 8:00 am this morning there were already 450 voting machines not working in Florida... Big Suprise there!
The military overseas it seems didn't have their ballots mailed to them on time (Hmmm?) so until they are cast and and returned, they won't be counted.
There are reports of Poll Judges showing up that are not assigned to the polling places. And a political analyst on FOX news just said that even if Obama was winning the national popular vote, McCain could win the in certain Key States by as little as 1% and take the election.
Even voting for Ralph Nader, who has been running forever, would be better than not voting at all. But only you can make that decision for yourself, it is your right.

This nonsensical and frightening platitude sounds as if it might have been taken from Joseph Goebbel’s propaganda playbook. What kind of tortured logic concludes that I can only complain about a rotting political system if I play by its rules? Whoever invented this notion had undoubtedly never read the Founding Fathers who asserted in no uncertain terms that if my government has become the enemy of the Constitution, it is not only prudent, but obligatory to “alter and abolish it.”
I believe this is the most truthful thing i have read in along time and i will not be quite during the next 4 years. I will voice my opinion as I see fit because i do not agree with what our country has become. Ever take a typing class? If so maybe you remember this sentence. If not, I do here it is... (Geez this makes me feel old)
"Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country."
After the smoke clears, when we again know who we have elected to hold public office, find their address ( email or snail mail ) AND WRITE TO THEM. Frequently.
We have let this go far too long. Voice your concerns, demand both action and accountability. Stay informed. Know what's going on. QUESTION EVERYTHING! They are not some elite class, they are not an aristocracy...they are PUBLIC SERVANTS. We PAY them to do a job, and if they consistently under-perform...FIRE THEM. Somebody else is always looking for a job. Politics was meant to be civic duty, not a lifetime career. Only Supreme Court Justices are appointed for life, if I recall correctly.
Time is of the essence people. The social fabric of this country is disintegrating, freedom is disapperaring, people are perishing, the Earth is weeping.
How does that go? Of the people, by the people, for the people?
I'm too darn tired to look it up right now.

Back to page topWell if my primary residence was still in Kooch County instead of me getting to visit my house only a few days a month or ever other month i would be voting today for the local offices to get some bad eggs out and get in some fresh faces but since I'm not in kooch on voting day and i don't care about local politics where I'm at, i will remain by my stance that i cannot bring myself to vote for either yahoo that is running for president because it would be going against my morals my values and my own country. I'm not going to make the same mistake i did last election and vote for the lesser of two evils. It is time for us Americans to stand up for what we believe in and let the country know we are not going to put up with the same crap over and over again the only way to truly help ourselves is by voicing our opinions by casting a vote of silence. Could you image the news stories the next day if 1 state 2 states or 10 states did not cast a single vote for president could you imagine if it was California or Texas, It would show we truly have an opinion and that we are not following blindly anymore. No longer would it be my entire family votes Republican so i vote Republican or The last president was a Republican so I'm voting democrat, its this mentality that has ruined this once great nation. The last time great patriots stood up against corruption we ended up becoming a country and a super power wouldn't it be wonderful if we where able to do that again instead of feeding this propaganda machine.
